Course Program and Mobility Tracks

The delivery of CIMET Master (120 ECTS) will correspond to:

  • 25 ECTS corresponding to Fundamental modules proposed by all universities (i.e. 5 courses) at the 1st semester
  • 25 ECTS corresponding to a first specialization in "color image capture, devices and processing" proposed by both Granada and Saint-Etienne : a choice of 5 courses among 8 courses will be proposed (5 courses will be common to the two institutions) at the 2nd semester
  • 20 ECTS corresponding to a second specialization to choose among the two different proposed either by Joensuu in "spectral color science" or Gjøvik in "technologies and models for multmedia systems" (4 courses for each second specialization) at the 3rd semester
  • 5 ECTS corresponding to the Project Contest at the 3rd semester
  • 30 ECTS corresponding to the Master Thesis (all universities) at the 4th semester
  • 15 ECTS corresponding to optional courses (student could choose any course of master level proposed in the institution where he/she studies) or (national)language courses.

In other words:

Semester 1 (30 ects)
- 5 Fundamental Courses (x5 ects) = 25 ects
- 1 Optional Course or Language Course* = 5 ects

Semester 2 (30 ects)
- Choose 5 Specialized Courses (x5 ects) = 25 ects
- 1 Optional Course or Language Course* = 5 ects

Semester 3 (30 ects)
- Choose 4 Specialized Courses (x5 ects) = 20 ects
- 1 Optional Course or Language Course* = 5 ects
- Project Contest = 5 ects

Semester 4 (30 ects)
- Master Thesis = 30 ects

*students must take a Language Course for 2 semesters at least (during the semester 1, 2 and/or 3).
